Operación salvar a Bibi

The IDF launched a vast ground operation in Gaza last night. Until now, Israel has failed to articulate its military objectives. No one in Israel is willing to commit to a definition of what a victory would look like. I am afraid that the military objective is obvious: saving Netanyahu’s political career.

Prime Minister Netanyahu and his defense minister Moshe Ya’alon have no other options. The two have tried to avoid a ground operation. Like most IDF leaders, Netanyahu and Ya’alon know that the Israeli army lacks the capability to counter Gaza’s ballistic defiance. Israel lost its power of deterrence a while ago. Instead, it developed impressive technology to deal with a ballistic threat. The Israeli Iron Dome anti-missile system performed exceptionally well, however, strategically, it proved counter effective. It liberated Hamas and other organisations in Gaza to unleash their rockets arsenal against Israeli cities, putting Israel on the defence while maintaining an ethical position since no one was getting hurt.

From a military perspective, this exposes a unique shift. The Hamas and IDF have swapped military doctrines. While in the past, Israel and the IDF were associated with the offensive doctrine philosophy – the belief that “attack is the best form of defence.” Now the Hamas and other Palestinian freedom fighters are calling the shots and seeking engagement.


Both Netanyahu and Ya’alon are special-forces veterans. They have an excellent understanding of the military situation and they have been witness to the persistent resilient spirit in Gaza. They also realise that considering the growing isolation of the Jewish State, Israel’s options are limited. PM Netanyahu and Minister Ya’alon know that a ground operation is not going to stop the missiles unless the entire Gaza strip is dug out. Israel doesn’t posses the military might to engage in such an operation nor does it enjoy the diplomatic ability to sustain such an extended assault.

For days PM Netanyahu has been pushed by hardliners within his cabinet. He has to show some commitment to the hawkish ideology he has advocated for years. The Israelis need revenge. After all, they have been humiliated by Palestinian resistance for days. They need something to cheer them up and Netanyahu knows what it is. The footage of Israeli soldiers marching into other people’s territory is a collective ecstatic moment in the Jewish State. A reminder that the atmosphere usually changes once Israeli soldiers are sent back home in coffins. But that happens later.

Incluso da la sensación de que aún sabiendo que nos mienten nos sorprendemos.

Hace poco comentaba con un compañero que los judíos son muy propensos a liarla en verano.
Eso venía al cuento de los 3 supuestos secuestrados que  aparecieron muertos por supuestamente Hamas.
Da igual quien o como fuera de cara a los insensatos que pensamos: el culpable ya tenía nombre y ya estaba condenado: Gaza, y palestina.

No hay que ser muy listo para saber primero que para los judíos, cualquier razón es valida para matar a gente. Incluso son capaces de matar a los suyos para matar a otros.
Antes preferían no matar para justificar sus exacciones, pero ahora hay que pujar más. Bastaba con decir que un coche bomba, o una mina les había atacado y se desataba el infierno.
Eso era cuando estaban fuera, dando una vuelta invasiva en el Libano.
Ahora que queda todo en casa, y palestina reducida a cenizas, no queda mucha carne en el asador para montar unas operaciones criminales cuyo nombre cada vez es menos creativo.

Pero a parte de las bombas, también se encargan de monopolizar y hacer propaganda de lo suyo, en cualquier foro ( obviando El País).

Ahora se ha desatado el infierno, otra vez, con armas prohibidas, y con Gaza, una cárcel a cielo abierto, que sirve de campo de tiro para Tsahal.
La comunidad internacional calla. La ONU calla. Todos callan.
Las resoluciones de la ONU, sólo sirven cuando interesa. Para Israel no aplican. Estan por encima del bien y del mal.
Tienen la bendición y le control.
El que diga lo contrario corre el riesgo de ser tildado de "antisemita", que es algo peor que ser un criminal, pederasta, violador y todos los crímenes posibles habidos y por haber.
Ya se encargan ellos de que sea así y que nadie se atreva a quejarse de que "su derecho a la auto defensa" corra a cargo de crímenes de guerra, crímenes contra la humanidad, saltarse todas las legislaciones y todas las resoluciones de la ONU, que a estas alturas yo no sé si alguien aún se cree que ese organismo es imparcial, justo, y reparte "legalidad" por el mundo.

Pobre Palestina, y pobre mundo.

En Afghanistán, salvo los bombazos de vez en cuando, apenas se habla.
En Pakistán los drones yankis campan a sus anchas matando a civiles.
En Siria, el ejercito es el malo, porque masacra a su población.
En Ukrania, el ejercito es bueno porque masacra a su población.
En Irak el ejercito es malo porque no masacra a su población.
En Arabia Saudí..... ( tampoco se puede decir nada como con Israel: son los intocables) y además son amigos íntimos de sus supuestos enemigos.
En Tailandia, el ejercito es bueno porque masacra a su pueblo.
En EEUU el ejercito es lo mejor que hay porque masacra a su pueblo y a todos los que se pongan en medio, y reparte muerte por todo el globo, cual mesias repartiendo mensajes.

Estas son las famosas primaveras no? La árabes y las multicolores?
A sangre y fuego.
Qué pena. Qué desastre. Qué vergüenza. Pero mientras tanto, que viva el opio del pueblo, y viva el mundial. Eso es lo más importante ahora.

Pilar de impotencia

In the past week, the people of Gaza have been subject to some serious Israeli attacks. Some Hamas leaders and militants have been murdered and many more Palestinians - innocent civilians, babies, kids women and elders – have lost their live. Yet, Gaza is celebrating with the Hamas leadership never more popular.

So here is an interesting anecdote that deserves our attention. During the recent clashes Gazan militants launched more than 1500 rockets at Israel. These rockets caused rather limited damage with more than six Israeli fatalities. Militarily at least, this is far from a great achievement. And yet the Gazans are celebrating. Would Israelis be happy to learn that 1500 of their rockets had had such limited effect? Would any western army accept such a result at such a cost? The answer is a categorical NO. But the Palestinians are ecstatic, why, because they know they have won the battle and are now set to win the war. They won the battle, not because they killed six Israelis – actually they would have won it without hitting one single Israeli. They won it because they managed to deliver a message to Israel, world Jewry and the whole world.

For many years I have argued that the Palestinian war of the rockets should be seen as sending a message: Israelis! You are on stolen land! You took our houses, villages, cities, fields and orchards. You pushed us into the desert. You surrounded us with barbed wire. You starve us and you kill us simply to suit your political ambitions. So this rocket is a message to you all. Think about us and then look at yourself in the mirror. Enough is enough!’

For more than six decades the Israelis have dismissed this message. They surrounded themselves with ghetto walls and have sealed their skies with an Iron Dome. However, with Tel Aviv now under attack, Israel and Israelis have been confronted with their original sin.

In the last two days, the entire Israeli media has admitted the colossal defeat of the so-called Operation Pillar of Cloud. Just yesterday, the Israeli right wing Ynet wrote “Hamas stood up and won almost all fronts.... Hamas has managed to turn focus on Gaza, it made it into the centre of the political discussion.” It seems that the most hawkish Israel government ever, has failed to beat either Hamas or the Palestinian spirit. The Palestinians are stronger than ever while the Jewish State has been exposed as an impotent manic-depressive collective driven by a neurotic and impotent leadership.

If Zionism was ever there to counter Jewish diaspora ghetto paralysis, just to ensure that ‘never again’ Jews would be ‘led like lamb to the slaughter’, Netanyahu, Barak and Liebermann have proved in the past week that paralysis is inherent to Jewish political culture. Like all bullies, they are obsessed with power, but when they meet defiance, their vile paradigm instantly collapses.

Speech can provides us with an insight into what we most lack. Speech can reveal that which we prefer to keep hidden. But speech is also often rather misleading, there to shape our lies into a truthful narrative. But it is these ‘true lies’ that provide an access to the fearful-self. It is these ‘true lies’ that reveal the unconscious. So, when, for instance Jewish ‘anti’ Zionists preach to us about Jewish ‘humanism and universalism’ they are obviously lying yet are they not also expressing a yearning for such an ethos to reallyexist in their own culture? Similarly, when Israel refers to itself as ‘The only democracy in the Middle East’ it this not because Israel would really love to be such a true democracy? In other words, often, when we speak we demonstrate what we most lack i.e. that which we miss and desire, yet we cannot admit this to ourselves. When Netanyahu decided to designate his latest massacre as a Pillar of Cloud, he actually tried to disguise from himself and his people the fact that in reality, he is actually an impotent, and the cloud is actually one big duvet of lies, there only to conceal his shame.

Israel and the Israelis love to talk about their ‘power of deterrence’ - Israeli actions, there to deter Palestinians and Arabs from even contemplating the possibility of challenging the Jewish state. In fact, the entire Israeli foreign and military policy can be realised with reference to that power. Israel likes to see itself at the core of its neighbours’ anxiety. This explains the Israeli fascination with the accumulation of nuclear bombs and other WMDs. It explains the policy towards Iran and it also explains its brutal attitude towards the Palestinians.

Israelis are obsessed with ‘deterrence’ only because, deep down, they are aware of their own vulnerability. Israelis are fanatical about ‘deterrence’ because they know that when push comes to shove, they themselves are actually powerless. They are now exposed for what they are: a fragmented society dominated by egotistic hedonism. Israelis know that their underbelly is very soft indeed.

Israeli collective melancholia must be realised in the light of their inevitable encounter with their true nature. As Ynet admits, they have been defeated in almost every possible respect. As a society, they have been caught naked and their imaginary collective bond has proved to be a farce. In spite of Israel’s mighty, sophisticated army the Hamas leadership, together with the people of Gaza, remained defiant. In spite of relentless air raids, and till the very last moment, Hamas kept firing their rockets reminding Israelis what life in Gaza is really like. When it seemed that the IAF had done its worst (but achieved so little), the Israeli government called on its 75.000 reservists, hoping against hope that such a move would bully Hamas into surrender. Again they were wrong. Ismail Haniah made things very clear when he invited the Israeli reservists to try their luck and enter the strip. Israel was caught with its trousers down – and believe me, the vision of their collective genitalia was not a pretty sight!

‘Unconscious is the discourse of the other’ says Lacan. The fear of impotence is not the fear that you may not be up to much in bed, it is actually the unconscious nightmare that everyone around you is saying behind your back that you’re not up to much in bed. Israelis not just now admitting their impotence to themselves, they are also aware of now being seen as a bunch of arrogant, cowardly and helpless barbarians.

By the time it became clear that the Pillar wasn’t even semi-erect and the Cloud couldn’t cover even that embarrassing truth, Netanyahu, Barak and Liebermann as well as the whole of Israeli society realised that nothing was left of Israel’s power of deterrence - for the Palestinians have lost their fear.

¿Bombardear Irán? No. ¿Bombardear Gaza? ¡Sí!

Tantas guerras que iniciar, tan poco tiempo. Cuando se es dirigente político de la nación más militarizada del planeta –como es el caso del primer ministro israelí Benjamin "Bibi" Netanyahu– hay que encontrar maneras de jugar con sus juguetes.

Incluso si ardes en deseos de hacerlo, no puedes bombardear porque no tienes las bombas revienta búnkeres adecuadas y suficiente capacidad de reaprovisionamiento de combustible para tus cazas. Y para colmo, el presidente reelegido de EE.UU., Barack Obama, lo ha dejado absolutamente claro: el camino adelante es la diplomacia, no las bombas.

Lo siguiente puede ser una indicación de que Obama por lo menos considera un trato: “Tiene que haber un un camino mediante el cual ellos [Irán] puedan tener energía nuclear pacífica mientras satisfagan sus obligaciones internacionales y suministren claras garantías a la comunidad internacional de que no andan tras un arma nuclear”. Esto ha llevado al compromiso del presidente de "realizar un impulso en los próximos meses para ver si podemos abrir un diálogo”, rompiendo el Muro de la Desconfianza entre EE.UU. e Irán.

¿Qué puede hacer Bibi? Es simple. Lanzar la Operación Columna de Nube (luego Pilar Defensivo, vea este invaluable artículo sobre las ramificaciones “divinas”) contra el único lugar de la Tierra en el que las Fuerzas de Defensa Israelíes [IDF, ejército israelí] pueden crear un infierno y causar estragos con toda impunidad y un “daño colateral” carente de importancia; la prisión al aire libre conocida como Gaza, sitiada, bloqueada ilegalmente, con sus habitantes castigados colectivamente.

Por cierto no encontraréis esta explicación al leer la prensa de Murdoch o viendo CNN. Tampoco obtendréis alguna explicación detallada de la verdadera línea de tiempo que condujo a lo que puede ser otra guerra.

Esta es la mejor línea de tiempo hasta ahora. Crucial en ella es lo que ocurrió el domingo pasado. El portavoz del ministerio de Salud de Gaza, Ashraf al-Qidra, anunció que un niño de 13 años, Hameed Abu Daqqa, recibió un disparo en el estómago mientras jugaba fútbol con sus amigos frente a su casa en el sudeste de Gaza. El terrorista futbolista representaba evidentemente una amenaza para la miríada de helicópteros israelíes que sobrevolaban el lugar.

Lanzar una guerra es un juego de niños para las IDF. Basta con matar a unos pocos civiles palestinos como el peligroso futbolista terrorista y enviar algunos tanques más. Las facciones de Gaza tuvieron que responder y atacaron a los soldados israelíes (no civiles). Era la excusa perfecta para que Tel Aviv lanzara su ofensiva destructora.

El lunes, Hamás y otras facciones palestinas en Gaza ofrecieron una nueva tregua a Israel. No sirvió para nada. El miércoles, el jefe del ala armada de Hamás, Ahmed al-Yabari, fue asesinado selectivamente (preguntad al general David Petraeus y a sus compinches de la CIA al respecto, son especialistas en el asunto).
No es necesario leer Haaretz para saber que al-Yabari había sido el principal subcontratista israelí en Gaza –estaba a cargo de garantizar la seguridad de Israel– durante los últimos cinco años y medio. A cambio, Israel arrojaba de vez en cuando unos pocos shekels a los bancos de Gaza mediante camiones a prueba de balas.

¿Por qué entonces liquidar a al-Yabari? Es simple. Israel va a las urnas en enero. Así emerge la campaña política de Bibi en plena acción. Consigna de la campaña: Matemos palestinos. Con la oferta de semejantes emociones se ahoga cualquier otra voz política israelí, aunque discrepe ligeramente.


Cambiemos de tema
Respecto a Irán, el exanalista de la CIA Paul Pillar, y luego John Glaser en antiwar.com, tenían toda la razón. Bibi apostó al caballo equivocado en EE.UU., su patético amigo derrotado Mitt Romney.

Para agravar las cosas, la relación entre Obama y Bibi es tan gélida como unas vacaciones en el Ártico, por lo menos desde 2010, cuando Obama quiso una congelación de la construcción de asentamientos en Cisjordania y Bibi respondió mediante la provocación a Irán para que atacara a Israel con la esperanza de arrastrar a EE.UU. a una nueva guerra.

Ahora, Bibi obviamente intuyó que Obama está considerando la posibilidad de orientarse hacia un acuerdo con Irán. Por lo tanto mató a dos pájaros (árabes/persas) mediante una (o varias) piedras (o misiles) en asesinatos selectivos; cambió de tema –una vez más– de “amenaza existencial” de Irán al “terrorista” Hamás, a sabiendas de que mientras Israel mate palestinos y Washington mire para otro lado (¿Asia-Pacífico?), la dirigencia en Teherán nunca aceptará o confiará en unas negociaciones significativas.

Es Bibi diciendo a Obama: “¿Quiere negociar con esos mullahs dementes? ¡De ninguna manera, amiguito!” Y además se sale con la suya ante la opinión pública occidental con sus cerebros totalmente lavados por los medios corporativos: una vez más esos malévolos “terroristas” palestinos están aterrorizando a los ¡oh! inocentes israelíes. El mortífero toque final tiene lugar cuando un portavoz de las IDF elucubra demencialmente que la Franja de Gaza gobernada por Hamás es una “base avanzada iraní”.

Como un reloj, solo unas pocas horas antes del colapso total de la tregua/alto el fuego, el gobierno de Obama en su forma anterior a su segundo período proclamó debidamente que Israel tiene “derecho” a atacar a cualquiera, en cualquier sitio, por “autodefensa”. ¡Y cómo se atreve Hamás a tomar represalias!

Es posible que una invasión por tierra sea inminente. Pero es posible que Bibi –una vez más– esté tragando más gefilte fish del que puede digerir. No hay que esperar ninguna condena de las cobardes petromonarquías del Club de Contrarrevolución del Golfo (CCG), previamente conocido como Consejo de Cooperación del Golfo. Y no esperéis ninguna condena de todos esos “Amigos de Siria” occidentales que se muestran tan indignados diciendo que el régimen de Asad está matando “a su propio pueblo”.

No obstante, Egipto bajo el presidente Mursi de la Hermandad Musulmana, tendrá que hacer… algo; la calle egipcia, que está totalmente a favor de eliminar los acuerdos de Camp David, lo exigirá. Además, Hamás tiene el apoyo de Turquía y, crucialmente, del emir de Catar y sus petro-millones. ¿Se quedarán mudos y contemplarán la carnicería? En cuanto al Rey Playstation de Jordania, no puede hacer de conciliador con Israel porque es posible que tenga que comprar un pasaje de ida a Londres antes de lo que piensa.

Si Obama tuviera cojones estaría furioso. Y daría un tortazo a Bibi. No vale la pena apostar a que lo haga. Sabemos que no lo hará.

Julio Escalona: no apto para reaccionarios y mentes atontadas.

El aviso lo he puesto con toda la intención.

Antes de verlo, el que quiera, esté interesado y pueda gastar de su valioso tiempo para saber muchas cosas que ocurren y que la prensa, gobiernos, estamentos y organizaciones internacionales y supranacionales, voy a exponer un breve resumen de los temas candentes tratados.

Quiero recordar que este señor tiene las tablas suficientes para afirmar lo que dice.

El que haya sido traspasado por la lanza de la propaganda atlantista puede que tenga muchos picores porque el señor Escalona pertenezaca al gobierno bolivariano. y posíblemente ni vea el video.

Bueno, cada cual es libre de formarse una opinión, pero cuando lo que dice este señor, lo han dicho otras muchas sin eco en ningún medio, por algo será.

1. Lo que mueve la economía actual, es decir, la especulación, funciona por la inestabilidad, y ésta la genera el continuo estado de guerras y conflictos a nivel mundial.
2. Cómo y porqué se ha desmantelado el estado del bienestar.
3. La especulación en plena crísis. Cuando muchos se están forrando con ella.
4. La agricultura tradicional y cómo la han desmantelado las firmas depredadoras de transgénicos.
5. La ilegalidad y barbarie de la guerra de Irak
6. El uso del uranio empobrecido, y de cómo Irak fue un laboratorio. De cómo nos mienten con todos los veteranos asesinos del ejército americano que andan muriéndose por sus efectos.
7. Hay que evitar las guerras por el bien de todos.
8. La ilegalidad y crímenes de guerra atribuíbles a las comisiones de sanciones de la ONU.
9. Denunciar a la justicia a Ban Ki Moon, Moreno Ocampo y demás.
10. Refundar y no reformar la ONU
11. Palestina, Israel, bloqueo de Gaza y el bloqueo.

La cuestión, a parte de que se diga, es quién lo dice.

La alegría que me llevo es que se diga.

La tristeza es que esta argumentación, estas ideas, y estas opiniones NUNCA tienen eco en la prensa mayoritaria porque es lógico que es subversiva contra el sistema.
